Seattle Prep’s Win Chandler 'Mr. 108' Fires His Way Into the Record Books
Junior lacrosse star and Duke commit hit 108 MPH at PLL Combine, the fastest shot ever recorded.
SEATTLE – As Seattle Prep’s boys lacrosse team gathered for its annual team photo, the Panthers started chanting, “Mr. 108.”
The team was referring to record-setting junior Win Chandler. At this year’s PLL Combine, Chandler fired a 108 MPH shot – the fastest ever recorded at the event (click the link to watch the video).
“It was a pretty exhilarating experience,” Chandler said. “I had recorded my shot in the past, but it hadn’t been for a while. To find out it was a record – it was crazy. Definitely a little bit of a shock.”
Chandler, who is committed to Duke, said the experience both opened up new opportunities and boosted his confidence heading into the season.
When asked if his shot is as accurate as it is fast, Chandler laughed: “I like to think so. I don’t know if it’s as accurate at 108, but it’s definitely accurate.”
Growing up in a family of lacrosse players, Chandler said he’s “had a stick in my hand since kindergarten.”
His father, Ren, played, and Chandler’s older brother, Rees – now at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, a Division I program in upstate New York – was also a standout at Seattle Prep.

Following in his brother’s footsteps, Chandler will also be heading to the East Coast for college. Getting the opportunity to play at Duke, he said, is a dream come true.
“It’s definitely a crazy opportunity for me,” he said. “It’s really exciting. I’m super grateful. Prior to my recruiting process, I didn’t know what level I was at. I didn’t know how high I could get. Reaching that goal at a top-10 school is insane. It’s a dream, for sure.”
Before he heads to play for the Blue Devils, though, he still has a lot of high school lacrosse left to play – which, he hopes, includes a third straight state championship. The Panthers are currently 7-1 with their only loss coming against Jesuit of Portland in overtime. The team faces a tough test Friday, taking on O’Dea in a pivotal division matchup.
For someone who has already accomplished so much in a short time, Mr. 108 still has plenty to look forward to.
